Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941 the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. In the age of thirteen, Richard moved his family across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper in the state of Casper where his father was the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
